Properties abroad are in good demand

We were asked by Valor Econômico magazine to comment on investments in real estate abroad. Below you can see an excerpt from the article in which Andrea Pointon comments on the Orlando market.

Andrea Pointon, president of Pointon Realty in Orlando, works in the region's market. Most of her clients are Brazilians. "Residential properties ensure long-term appreciation and liquidity on resale," she says. According to her, a US$ 300,000 house, rented out for 12 months at between US$ 2,000 and US$ 2,400/month, can give a net return of up to 7% per year, in addition to the property's appreciation rate of at least 5% per year. Seasonal rentals can yield even more. "The market is hot and favorable for investors. The stock of properties is less than three months old, short of what is needed. We're renting out houses in as little as three days."
